Job Title: General Manager
Summary: Responsible for all aspects of operations, staffing, and financial performance, ensuring efficient and effective business practices while maintaining high standards and fostering employee development.
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Implement standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a valid Food Manger Certification
- Recruit, train, and supervise all staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional growth.
- Ensure staff adhere to Shipleys policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve staff conflicts or issues.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial management, and customer service principles.
- Proven track record of driving sales and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in restaurant operations, general or assistant manager experience preferred.
Qualifications: Education/Experience: High school diploma. Experience in the restaurant or food preparation industry preferred.
Language Ability: Ability to read, write, and apply written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from customers, other employees, and vendors in English.
Math Ability: Basic math skills are required. Must be able to accurately complete cash transactions, and perform basic inventory/planning.
Reasoning Ability: Basic reasoning required. Ability to hear or read client orders or concerns and process them. Ability to receive a variety of instructions in oral, written or diagram form.
Computer Skills: Must be able to work the restaurant cash registers. (NCR, Synergy Suites)
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands or arms, talk and or hear for eight or more hours. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color recognition, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The work environment is fast paced and has a moderate to loud noise level.
