Scope:
The primary scope of a Restaurant Captain at The Club at Las Campanas is to create a memorable experience for all members and their guest.
This is a Seasonal Role for Summer 2025
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow Dining Room Etiquette at all times while on property.
- Communicate service/inventory needs to chefs & back waiters, stewards bartender during service.
- Knowledge of member's names and ability to use guest names.
- Knowledge of member's personal like/dislikes with regards to the flow of service.
- Inspects cleanliness of silverware, china and glassware prior to use.
- Reviews all table settings, centerpieces, glassware, flatware and linen.
- Sets table according to type of function and appropriate standards
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationship with others.
- Supports team to accomplish common goals.
- Listens to others employees and responds appropriately.
- Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Participates in F&B department quality & sanitation audits.
- Stand, sit or walk for a long period of time.
- Move, push, pull, lift objects that weigh 25 pounds or less without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisor.

External: Members/Guests: To provide excellent service.Qualifications:Education/Experience: - Experience supervising staff in a catering, banquets or full service fine dining environment.
- Knowledge of wine and wine services preferred. Attendance to wine seminars and service training strongly preferred.
- Participate in continuous training to enhance career development and technical areas of expertise.
- Pass all written or verbal tests given by supervisors that encompass:
- Club & Members
- Etiquette & Performance Standards.
- Wine List, Vintages, Beverages-Alcoholic & Non Alcoholic
- Menus, Ingredients & Preparation
- Management, Staffing & Property
Certification and/or License Requirement: - Alcohol Server Certification Required
- High School diploma preferred
Skills: - Able to multi-task
- Efficient use of point of sales systems
- Correctly take and memorize orders using table and seat positions without writing down.
Working Conditions: Physical/Cognitive Activities: - Requires ability to bend, stoop, lift, balance and carry items up to 50lbs.
- Ability to push or pull items on a cart up to 200lbs.
- Ability to assist in moving furniture when necessary.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work with flammable materials, and toxic cleaning chemicals as well as sharp knives and other objects.
- Ability to move freely on a multi-floor building.
