Samson Rose has partnered with a cutting-edge robotics and manufacturing client to find Responsible Engineers for two key areas: one specializing in Automotive and the other in the Aerospace & Defense sector. This role will lead product development through the entire lifecycle, from initial program kickoff to the start of production. As a Responsible Engineer, you'll be tasked with creating and managing CAD models, FEA simulations, and BOMs for both individual Nodes and complete structural assemblies. The person they are looking for should have:
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in structure design.
- 2-3 years CAD experience creating detailed models. Siemens NX is a plus.
- 2-3 years PLM experience. Teamcenter is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in structural analysis.
- 2-3 years of experience in analysis software packages such as Nastran, Optistruct, and/or LS-Dyna.
- Solid understanding of linear/nonlinear behaviors of advanced materials (composites, adhesives, metals) to achieve lightweight structural solutions.
- Outstanding comprehension of solid mechanics.
- Solid interpersonal skills and motivated self-starter who can manage personal workload and execution to tight schedule.
- Must be a US permanent resident or citizen due to the nature of the work. (Aerospace & Defense sector only)
- Experience with aerospace load applications and MIL-STDs (Aerospace & Defense sector only)
Big pluses for:
- Experience interfacing with engineering, testing, and manufacturing groups to understand system designs and the associated constraints.
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP, control plans, PPAP and APQP.
- Knowledge of overall vehicle systems/sub-systems and requirements.
- Experience supporting analysis and completing documentations for product approval and launch.
- Experience supporting structural design and analysis throughout the design, build, and test phases of a development cycle.
- Experience with fast iteration prototyping programs.
- Experiencing with managing system configurations and managing changes to size, weight, and cost constraints.
- Supported or engaged directly with DoD airworthiness stakeholders such as Air Force Test Center (AFTC) or FAA (Aerospace & Defense sector only)
