Under the supervision of the Respiratory Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary care services per physician orders and departmental policies. Responsibilities include:
Administering respiratory therapy treatments and monitoring mechanical ventilators. Performing arterial punctures for blood gas analysis. Documenting patient data and maintaining equipment safety. Educating patients and families on treatment plans. Requirements include current GA Respiratory Therapist Licensure, BLS and NBRC certifications, and a graduate degree from an AMA-approved school. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in high-stress environments are essential.
