- Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $190,000-$219,317 + additional Director salary.
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
Job Specifics
- Responsible for administration of the GPR program in compliance with requirements and standards established by federal or state government, regulatory and accrediting agencies and OSF HealthCare.
- Designs and maintains GPR curriculum that aligns with accreditation standards, using a variety of teaching methods and including clinical practice experiences; Continually develops curriculum to respond to industry standards and promote academic excellence.
- Provides teaching services to residents; responsible for coordinating, advising, and consulting with attending dentists and dental faculty regarding teaching activities and learning objectives for residents. Monitors and evaluates resident performance to ensure competency in clinical skills and knowledge.
- Regularly reviews and updates program documentation to demonstrate compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including submission of reports, maintaining records, and undergoing site visits.
- Provides supervision for residents performing clinical care in all settings, including outpatient clinics, medical center and in the community.
- Assists in recruiting and hiring qualified dentists; onboards dentists to the program; supervises and evaluates the performance of dentists, and ensures dentist compliance with OSF bylaws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations and applicable regulatory standards.
- Provides patient care in outpatient clinics, medical center and in the community; also participates in patient care conferences, resident conferences and other scholarly activities. Responsible for ensuring the highest quality of clinical care through interactions with other clinicians and mission partners.
- Collaborates with medical, executive and operational leaders to promote efficient clinic operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, adherence to OSF policies and procedures, and performance improvement initiatives to positively impact clinical excellence and patient experience.
- Collaborates with medical, executive and operational leaders to implement strategies that improve patient care, clinical practice and integration of services, in alignment with OSF Key Results.
- Responsible for consulting with medical, executive and operational leadership in the development of an organizational culture that focuses on demonstrating Standards of Performance to support OSF s Mission. Collaboratively addresses and resolves issues or concerns of residents, attending dentists and dental faculty.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
Licensure/ Certification: Dentist License, Federal Controlled Substance License, State Controlled Substance License
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of a General Practice Residency (GPR) or Advanced Education General Dentistry (AEGD)
Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably as a General Practice Residency Program Director, hospital dentistry experience
