Role Description

This is a full-time contract hybrid role for a Reservoir Engineering Technician at Riverbend Energy Group. The role is based in Houston, TX Monday - Thursday, with remote work optional on Fridays. The Reservoir Engineering Technician will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks related to reservoir engineering and analysis under the supervision of senior engineers.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot reserves databases for multiple projects
  • Coordinate all information from internal and external databases sources for review and use by the Reserves Team
  • Conduct daily research to maintain the reserves system up to date facilitating both reserves assessments and economic evaluations
  • Collaborate with Engineering Team and develop a foundational knowledge of the assets and operations to effectively address business needs
  • Primary administrator for decline analysis software in support of forecasts/economics
  • Facilitate implementation of smarter business module processes and data analytics for meaningful insights
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data flow using macros, scripts or other novel tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a reservoir engineering technician or equivalent experience
  • Experience using database and engineering software, including Aries, ComboCurve, Enverus (Drilling Info), Spotfire, SQL, Access, or other engineering software
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for project presentations
  • Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
