Èlephante in Santa Monica is looking for a
part-time Reservationist to manage bookings and provide outstanding service to our valued guests.
What You'll Do As our
Reservationist, you'll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring their experience begins with seamless and professional communication. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing restaurant reservations and inquiries via phone and email.
- Providing accurate information about the restaurant and its offerings.
- Advising guests on food and beverage options and special event bookings.
- Handling pre-payments for reservations and events when required.
- Creating and updating reservations in the system, noting all guest preferences and details.
- Confirming, reconfirming, and managing overbook situations with the Manager on Duty.
- Assisting with promotions and special events by sharing detailed information.
- Maintaining accurate reservation databases and addressing any discrepancies.
- Ensuring guest inquiries are handled with care, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Supporting Managers and team members with effective communication and collaboration.
- Upholding confidentiality and following health and safety policies.
What We're Looking For - Availability for part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A degree/diploma in hospitality or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Up to 1 year of experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in computer programs; knowledge of Micros is a bonus.
- A proactive, customer-focused attitude with an outgoing and approachable personality.
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
