Research Technologist Trainer
Reports to: R&D Manager

Job-description:
This Research Technologist Trainer position will be a member of R&D department and report directly to the R&D manager.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide training and national support by traveling to production and manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to source manufacturing equipment, understand engineering specifications and work with vendors and technical support to identify appropriate machinery.
- Ability to work with production personnel to scale up process from lab and pilot scale to full scale production, provide technical assistance and development of SOPs.
- Ability to work with research chemists, scientists, product launch specialists in a team environment to develop products and see projects to completion and to meet launch dates.
- Drive continuous improvement through production support and design efficiency as well as the ability to communicate ROI through information mining and report authorship.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings and environments, performing varying job functions that involve the development of new products and technologies.
- Maintain communication with R&D, facilities, maintenance and production departments.
- Participate actively in regular meetings and present periodic updates, significant observations, and conclusions pertaining to areas of responsibility to the team and management.
Experience Requirements:
- 4 years hands on experience working with extraction, post processing, and distillation equipment.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing equipment (tanks, pumps, mechanical implements)
Additional Requirements:
- Strong math and process design skills.
- Ability to think critically and independently and see projects to completion.
- Able to interact with equipment manufacturers and technical support.
- Adhere to established safety standards, chemical hygiene, utilization of appropriate PPE.
- Implementing and adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Participate as a team member and contribute to the pursuit of the company's goals.
Other Skills and Requirements:
- Controls and instrumentation experience.
- Science or Engineering exposure.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a Florida level 2 background screening
