Research Analyst

The role of the Research Analyst is to support and further the macroeconomic research and investment manager due diligence conducted by the traditional research team. The Research Analyst will work closely with directors and senior analysts to develop market research, conduct manager due diligence, and formalize investment recommendations to clients.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct investment manager due diligence and update meetings, summarize findings for consultants and clients.
2. Identify high quality investment managers and lead investment and operational due diligence.
3. Write reports on investment managers for internal and client use.
4. Analyze market factors influencing the U.S. equity market landscape.
5. Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis to support original Marquette research.
6. Write white papers on topical and academic research topics as related to the capital markets.
7. Serve as a resource for consultants.
8. Represent Marquette at investment conferences and annual meetings.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, and/or CAIA preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience; direct experience in manager research or U.S. equities investments preferred.
3. Intellectually honest, intellectually curious, and thoughtful.
4. Strong business writing skills and ability to verbally present information effectively and professionally.
5. Highly organized with strong prioritization and time management skills.
6. Heightened attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently in support of team and firm goals.
8. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with research team members, consultants, and marketing professionals.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, eVestment a plus.
