Hours and Location:

The Reporting Associate will be based out of our Tampa Support Center (TSC) in the Westshore business district of Tampa, FL. The Reporting Associate will work onsite one day per week (Monday) at the TSC and will work remotely from home the remaining days of the week. The initial training period may include working from the TSC for a week or more, at the discretion of the Manager. The schedule is subject to change.

SUMMARY:

Reporting Associate's monitor the affordable component of all affordable apartment communities. The associate will perform a full range of reporting duties ensuring full compliance within LIHTC Section 42, Bond, SAIL, MMRB requirements. Work is performed according to generally accepted standards and within policies included in state and federal law and administrative regulations. Reporting Associates must be independent works with strong attention to detail. We are seeking a dynamic individual experienced in the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. Property management experience familiarity is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and submit Florida Program reports monthly for all properties within the assigned portfolio
  • Gathers Annual Recertification and Initial Certification TICs for all properties within the assigned portfolio
  • Monitor and follow up with the site teams on past due recertifications for all properties within the assigned portfolio
  • Prepare and submit end of year reporting with back up documentation for NJ, CA, TX, CT, MD, NY and VA.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual bond reporting for all properties within the assigned portfolio
  • Provides support and guidance to Director of Compliance, National Compliance and Reporting Supervisor, Compliance Specialist and National Compliance Manager
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of reports to state housing agencies and monitoring agents
  • Corrects and responds to any discrepancies in reporting within the required amount of time
  • Ensures sensitive data is secure and managed appropriately within the compliance department and throughout the organization
  • Demonstrates high standards of conduct and ethics as well as appropriate judgment, independence, and discretion
  • Performs other tasks as required when directed by Company management
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret regulatory agreements, reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to follow and apply National Practices
  • Ability to use a personal computer and advanced working knowledge of e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use property-specific software programs
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, and copier

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ Years Affordable Housing Compliance (Section 42 LIHTC) experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent for this position, post-secondary education is preferred
