Southwest Electric Co. Is looking for a Repair Technician for our Tulsa Field Service location.
Repair Technician Field Service Summary:
- Perform any/all substation equipment maintenance and repair activities with minimal oversight.
- Must understand substation equipment and components functionality, maintenance requirements and repair processes.
- Operate oil processing rig to recondition insolating oil in high voltage equipment (transformers).
Repair Technician Field Service Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Must have a working knowledge of required substation maintenance and repair activities.
- Inspect, repair and maintain substation equipment, such as oil circuit breakers and transformers.
- Tests oil in circuit breakers and transformers for dielectric strength.
- Travel to site and set up processing rig by running hose to transformer being processed.
- Must be willing and able to travel on overnight, multi-day, out of town jobs and work regular overtime including nights, weekends and some holidays.
Requirements:
Repair Technician Field Service Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, and physical.
- Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 + lbs., climb ladders, walk, and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Repair Technician Field Service Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
- 3 years direct industry experience maintaining and repairing substation equipment.
- Experience driving oil processing rig preferred.
- Electrical theory education and/or mechanical maintenance education preferred.
- Training in a Technical discipline is a plus.
