Current Vacancy
Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is offering a full-time Outpatient Relief Pharmacist position, where no two days are the same.
This role involves rotating across different branches, developing clinical knowledge in specialties like Oncology, Paediatrics, Neurology, and more. The primary locations include Morecambe Bay (Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Westmorland General Hospital, Furness General Hospital) and Blackpool Victoria Hospital, with potential work at other sites.
Training and Team Environment
No hospital experience? No problem. We provide necessary training. Our team is friendly, helpful, and supportive. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, engaging regularly with healthcare professionals.
Work Schedule
Hours vary slightly by site, typically 8.5-9 hours daily, including a paid lunch break.

Organization Overview
Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is a subsidiary of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, providing outpatient dispensing services across multiple hospitals, including Royal Preston Hospital, Rosemere Centre, Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital, and others.
Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Adhere to GPhC Code of Conduct and support team standards.
- Provide clinical supervision in dispensary.
- Undertake Responsible Pharmacist duties.
- Ensure pharmaceutical care aligns with standards and guidelines.
- Handle clinical queries and support pharmacy team performance.
- Deliver positive pharmacy experiences for customers.
Qualifications & Knowledge
- MPharm or equivalent
- GPhC registration
- Royal Pharmaceutical Society membership
- CPD requirements fulfilled
- Understanding of GPhC standards
- Previous hospital experience preferred
