Based: Moreton, Wirral
Type: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
We are recruiting for a Reliability Engineering Coordinator to be the site lead for all engineering reliability activities, supporting, training, educating, and improving overall performance on our Moreton site. The Reliability Engineering Coordinator will ensure that the site has the correct maintenance strategy in place for site equipment, which involves optimizing preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Effectiveness & Efficiency
- Assess and organize the requirements of all external third-party technical support
- Seek and implement alternative spare parts to minimize spend & extend component life cycle
- Support plant overhauls by planning and coordinating activities for your function
- Monitoring Maintenance Efficiency
- Utilize CI tools, review, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance plan
- Assess the effectiveness of the maintenance plan with the Engineering Manager and identify technical training needs
- Coach and train employees to execute asset care plans effectively
- Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability
- Ensure contractor compliance with site standards (QESH, contractor control, procurement)
- Follow site safety best practices and demonstrate zero accident behavior
- Act as a role model in Safety through Behavioral Safety programs
- Maintain personal hygiene standards suitable for a food environment
- Identify opportunities for line utilization and machine reliability improvements
- Provide advice during breakdowns and share best practices across the site network
- CAPEX
- Develop effective maintenance plans supporting the Site Capital Plan
- Analyze machine obsolescence for future CAPEX planning
- Support REC sign-off on CAPEX purchases
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG
- Engineering Degree or equivalent, or accomplished engineer via apprenticeship with relevant expertise
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (qualifications advantageous)
- Proven ability in data analysis to recommend system improvements
- Understanding of equipment reliability techniques to improve plant efficiency
- Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP
