IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer - Fixed Equipment for our premier client in Ashtabula, OH. This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing the mechanical integrity of critical plant equipment and ensuring compliance with both regulatory standards and internal engineering protocols.
️ About the Role:
In this role, you will serve as the Asset Engineer, maintaining fixed equipment integrity across the site. You'll manage inspection regimens, oversee the plant's Mechanical Integrity (MI) program, and play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations through engineering leadership and preventive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical and civil engineering standards for site infrastructure.
- Manage and execute the Mechanical Integrity Program for critical assets.
- Oversee inspection plans, documentation, and compliance for coded vessels, piping, tanks, and protective systems.
- Act as the key liaison for regulatory bodies on equipment design and inspection standards.
- Analyze inspection data to improve maintenance strategies and reduce downtime.
- Implement asset maintenance procedures and contribute to long-term asset life planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment (chemical preferred).
- 3+ years in a reliability or mechanical integrity-focused role.
- Expertise in equipment failure mechanisms, inspection methods (internal/external), corrosion/erosion monitoring, and compliance codes (API, ASME, PSM).
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
