A day in the life.

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) on the MMA Application Development team, you are instrumental in orchestrating the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment and delivery of value across multiple teams. You facilitate program-level ceremonies, including PI planning, system demos, and retrospectives, while fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency. Your leadership skills enable you to coordinate dependencies and mitigate risks, ensuring that teams remain focused on their objectives. By leveraging your strong communication and organizational abilities, you drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the teams in achieving their goals. Overall, as an RTE, you play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the ART, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet MMA's strategic objectives.

  • Facilitate the implementation and adherence to Agile methodologies across multiple teams within the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Coordinate and synchronize the planning and execution of program increments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Remove obstacles and blockers that hinder the progress of teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles and practices, enhancing their understanding and execution of Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution within the ART, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered.
  • Monitor and track program progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and adherence to established timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between the ART and external stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
  • Advocate for the needs of the ART, ensuring a productive and positive work environment that supports team success.
  • Continuously assess and improve ART processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, driving the overall success of the program.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering, related degree, or relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of Experience in Agile Methodologies (like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
  • Related certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2

The applicable base salary range for this role is $93,600 to $163,700

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
