The role: The Release Specialist is responsible for coordinating the software builds and releases. The Release Specialist will partner with software engineering teams to ensure best practices around design, development and release.

What you will do:
  • Partner with project leaders and delivery teams to provide release management services across the IT solution lifecycle.
  • Support the development of software tools, processes and procedures that reduce customer implementation.
  • Communicate project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, and requirements with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending on defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve risks that can delay a release, schedule or quality and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve those risks.
  • Ensure releases are planned according to the timeline and commitments schedule.
  • Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release.
  • Coordinate plans for deployment as per the release schedule.
  • Inform internal stakeholders of release plans and provide weekly updates on the release activities
  • Assist in Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
  • Recommend improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of release experience and/or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in a DevOps and Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in the use of Application Release Automation tools such as Jira or GitHub.

  • Excellent verbal, written and group communication and presentation skills; ability to utilize communication skills to effectively influence across functions and business units as well as across different leadership levels.
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results.
  • Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint.
  • Other qualifications as required.

Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.
