About the Role

We are seeking a Relationship Manager to join an investment management firm in in Santa Monica, CA. This hybrid role is ideal for a client-focused professional who thrives on building strong, lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals.


As the primary point of contact for a select group of clients, you'll be responsible for ensuring a exceptional service experience while supporting business development efforts. You'll manage everything from onboarding and account maintenance to meeting preparation and proactive communication, working closely with the Senior Advisor and internal teams to deliver seamless support.


Key Responsibilities


Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Oversee onboarding of new clients, including paperwork preparation, signature collection, transfers/rollovers, and coordination with custodians.
  • Serve as a dedicated resource for client inquiries, ensuring timely and thorough follow-up.
  • Prepare and support client meetings-schedule, confirm, develop agendas, update CRM, and manage follow-up action items.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and thoughtful execution of strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain full compliance with all regulatory guidelines and internal procedures.
  • Support the advisor team with presentation development and client-facing materials.
  • Engage in team training and ongoing professional development.

Business Development Support

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospects to evaluate their needs and introduce the firm's services.
  • Qualify interest and gather relevant financial details prior to senior advisor meetings.
  • Coordinate and schedule planning meetings between prospects and the senior advisor.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect activity in Salesforce CRM.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of investment advisory experience, specifically with high-net-worth clients
  • Proven ability to manage HNW relationships independently with professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-written and verbal
  • Comfortable with outbound client engagement and relationship development
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM (preferred)
  • Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems (Orion preferred)
  • Clean regulatory record
  • Series 65 license preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $70,000-$90,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Annual bonus target: 10% of base salary
  • Full benefits package including 401(k), health insurance subsidy, and paid vacation
