Description

Here are the key responsibilities of the Business Analyst role based on the description you provided:

  1. Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with traders, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and regulatory requirements.

  2. Requirements Gathering & Formalization - Collect, analyze, and document business requirements in a clear and structured manner.

  3. Product Collaboration - Partner with product owners to translate business requirements into actionable development tasks.

  4. Prototyping & Testing - Create mockups or proof of concepts (PoCs), define test scripts, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with end-users.

  5. Knowledge Management - Document processes and contribute to enriching the knowledge base.

  6. Support & Issue Resolution - Act as a liaison between end-users and Level 1 support; provide Level 2 support for issue resolution.

  7. Regulatory Focus - Support initiatives related to Transactional Regulatory Reporting (e.g., TRACE) and Broker Dealer Regulations.

  8. Agile Participation - Operate within Agile frameworks and contribute to continuous delivery and improvement efforts.

Profile

A successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, with experience in financial products and regulatory reporting (e.g., TRACE, Broker Dealer Regulations).

They will be an effective communicator, able to gather and document requirements, and work well within Agile methodologies.

Technical knowledge of SQL, Python, or C is a plus, alongside the ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across teams.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing multiple projects and navigating complex regulatory requirements.

Job Offer

Immediate start date with a two round virtual interview process. The ability to work in the financial sector on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office a week in Midtown, Manhattan. The ability to work on an initial 6 month contract with a focus around Pre-Trade IT, Transactional Regulatory Reporting(TRACE), and Broker Dealer Regulations.
