Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Analyst to support wholesale rate filings, revenue requirement calculations, and regulatory reporting for federal and state agencies, including FERC, SPP, MPSC, and KCC.
Location: Hybrid or On-site (Topeka, KS or Kansas City, MO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain FERC formula rate and revenue requirement templates
- Support FERC and state docket filings, audits, and reporting (Form 1/3-Q)
- Conduct rate design and revenue requirement analysis
- Interpret tariffs and contribute to testimony development
- Collaborate across departments to support pricing and compliance initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degree or CPA preferred for senior level)
- 4+ years in a regulated utility setting preferred for Sr. Analyst role
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Word
- Knowledge of FERC regulations, energy markets, or electric utilities a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
