Position Summary: The OT - Occupational Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to laws and standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT) Currently registered/licensed in applicable State One year experience in post-acute care preferred CPR certification required upon hire Specific Job Requirements:
Participate in community health projects Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email Liaison with patients and families for care planning Demonstrate good body mechanics Make independent decisions as needed Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines Implement departmental policies and procedures Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships Adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct Essential Functions:
Follow and modify occupational treatment plans Oversee care provided by OTAs and students Chart care appropriately and utilize therapy software Exhibit excellent customer service Assist in patient evacuation Demonstrate dependable attendance and good judgment Communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team Perform physical tasks as required Read, write, and understand English
