Sentara Heart Hospital is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)- Unit Coordinator/Circulatorfor the Cardiac Operating Room (OR) in Norfolk, Virginia. Up to $15,000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates and relocation assistance can be provided. Requirements: - OR and/or critical care experience strongly PREFERRED

Shift Full time, rotating shift. 4 10-hour shifts (6A-430P) Call required (one weekend per month, and 2 shifts per week). Cardiac Operating Room DepartmentOverview: We are made up of five operating rooms with one being a hybrid OR.We manage 8+ OR cases daily. Nurses work with a multi-disciplinary team of Cardio-thoracic Surgeons, OR attendant, Surgical Techs, Surgical Assistants, Perfusionists, Anesthesiologists, Cardiovascular Technologists, and Physician Assistants.

Job SummaryDemonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty.
Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.
BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
Qualifications:N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
