Capitol City Rehab and Healthcare in beautiful Washington DC is hiring a Full Time RN Staff Educator Monday-Friday.

Must have a valid RN License

GENERAL DUTIES:

• The Staff Educator assesses the training needs of nursing staff to develop, implement, evaluate and document staff development programs including General Orientation, Job Specific Orientation, In-Service, and Continuing Education Programs for nursing department personnel.

• The Staff Educator Identifies, plans, implements, directs and evaluates educational program within the facility based upon individual facility needs, resident needs, and in compliance with State and Federal regulations; implements these programs on all shifts.

• The Staff Educator is responsible for the planning, coordinating and conducting required in-service programs and/or special training sessions in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and/or corporate requirements.

• The Staff Educator collaborates with the Director of Nursing (designee) to complete periodic needs assessment identifying ongoing learning needs of staff and assists in developing and conducting educational programs to meet the identified needs.

• The Staff Educator maintains appropriate documentation of educational programming, each individual employee's attendance at educational programs and competency validation as needed.

• The Staff Educator acts as preceptor, coach, and resource person to assist nursing department employees to successfully complete the job specific orientation.
