Candidates may be eligible for a hiring bonus up to $10,000 The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to join our Forensic Mental Health Program within the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) division of agency. The Forensic Mental Health Program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness who present a risk to public safety. This is a safe and secure treatment environment. Provide experienced, professional nursing care. The incumbent of this position assess and diagnoses the needs of patients; develops individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multidisciplinary team; provides direct nursing intervention and/or delegate specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff; and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided during the shift. The incumbent also provides clinical oversight of nursing processes and defined administrative functions in conjunction with the Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor. The incumbent will also provide leadership in establishing, facilitating and implementing the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications + Current licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse; AND + Bachelors of Nursing Degree, plus two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse; OR + Associate's degree or diploma in nursing, plus three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse + Certification in an area of expertise equals one (1) year of Registered Nurse experience + Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
