Job Summary: The Surgical Care Nurse is responsible for managing patient care throughout the surgical experience, including Pre-operative, Intra-Operative, and Post-operative phases. Key responsibilities include:
Pre-Op: Patient preparation, medication administration, obtaining consent, and documentation. Intra-Op: Acting as the OR Circulator, ensuring patient safety, communication with the surgical team, and maintaining sterile technique. Post-Op: Monitoring patients, providing discharge instructions, and collaborating with anesthesia and surgical teams. Qualifications: New RN graduates are welcome; preferred candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience. Required education includes an Associate's in Nursing, with a preference for a Bachelor's. Licenses include a Registered Nurse license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
