- Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.
Responsibilities- The position of the PACU nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment in the PACU.
- The RN will document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care.
- The PACU nurse is responsible and accountable for working with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact
Active BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association) is required upon hire.
Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA is required upon hire.
Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is required upon hire.
1+ years of experience in a PACU hospital setting.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Preferred Job Requirements:
