Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Behavioral Health unit provides behavioral health services benefiting from multi-disciplinary clinical teams that utilize a collaborative approach to care. What you will do: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identify behavioral health needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for side effects, and provide education on medication management specific to psychiatric conditions.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, implement crisis intervention strategies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in geriatric and/or adult psych and substance abuse disorders nursing.
- BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
Work Schedule : Full Time-36 Nights-12 Hour Shift-Every Other Weekend/Holiday
