Department/Unit Summary The Cath Lab department is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional radiology care. Our highly skilled team of nurses, technicians, and physicians performs a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cardiovascular interventions, peripheral procedures and advanced radiology procedures such as port placements, kyphoplasty, tube placements, and ablations. Key Responsibilities: Patient Assessment and Preparation:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients both physically and emotionally for the procedure. Procedure Assistance:
Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during various procedures. This includes preparing and managing equipment, monitoring patient status, and ensuring a sterile environment. Monitoring and Documentation:
Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and responses during procedures, promptly recognizing and addressing any complications. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, medications administered, and procedural outcomes. Post-Procedure Care:
Provide comprehensive post-procedure care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain and discomfort, and educating patients and families about post-procedure care and follow-up instructions. Emergency Response:

Qualifications: Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current
State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure
and possess an
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.
Required Certifications BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire. Minimum Work Experience: 1 years hospital nursing experience - Required 2+ years hospital nursing experience - Preferred Cardiovascular, Critical Care experience - Preferred.
