Job Description
Job Title: RN Supervisor

Job Specialty: Long-Term Care and Post-Acute Care

Job Duration: Ongoing

Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: Full-time

Experience: Experience in acute care, dementia care, and post-operative care preferred

License: NY Registered Nurse (RN) License

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have:
- Experience with PointClick EMR
- Ability to handle acute changes in patient condition
- Strong communication skills for coordinating care

Job Description:

- Supervise nursing staff in a 272-bed long-term care and post-acute care facility
- Oversee 7 units including 2 secure dementia units
- Provide care for post-acute rehab patients from hospital settings, including short-term rehab
- Manage patients with various needs, including but not limited to continuous BiPAP, tube feeds, foley catheters, IVs, PICCs, ports, post-op hip/knee care, wound care, and nebulizer treatments
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition, such as falls or emergencies, and coordinate with the emergency department as necessary
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and communicate with healthcare providers
- Ensure no new admissions after 3 PM
- Lead and support LPNs and other nursing staff on night shifts, weekends, and holidays
