Express is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for residents in a long-term care facility. The RN will be responsible for coordinating and directing patient care on designated shifts, demonstrating strong leadership and a solid foundation in the nursing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide resident-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team, adapting care plans to meet individual needs.
Administer care within established standards, ensuring respect for resident dignity, privacy, safety, and independence.
Collaborate with RN Unit Managers and medication staff to complete delegated tasks such as blood sugar monitoring, insulin administration, order processing, assessments, and documentation.
Complete UDA assessments in coordination with the MDS coordinator.
Oversee the daily operations of the assigned shift, ensuring tasks are completed, documentation is accurate, and units remain organized.
Guide and correct staff performance when needed to ensure quality of care.
Administer medications and treatments, observe resident conditions, and take appropriate action.
Maintain effective communication with residents' families, physicians, and staff-providing updates and addressing changes in condition or treatment plans.
Accurately complete clinical documentation including care plans, charting, MARs, and lab records.
Assist in onboarding and mentoring new team members; participate in staff training and discipline when necessary.
Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs to ensure care responsibilities are clearly understood and completed.
Assign CNAs based on resident needs, acuity, and other relevant factors.
Participate in on-call rotation as part of the nursing leadership team.

Licensure & Certification:

Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and resident rights.
Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
Prolonged periods at a computer and interacting with residents.
