Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Nurse to provide high-quality care during imaging and interventional procedures. This role involves administering anesthesia, monitoring patients, and assisting physicians in various diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer anesthesia to patients before or during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and report any changes to the physician or other staff members.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, preparing them physically (e.g., administering sedatives), and setting up necessary equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is properly arranged and functioning for procedures such as MRI scans, CT scans, and X-rays.
- Assist in preparing patients for diagnostic imaging studies by helping them disrobe and positioning them appropriately on equipment.
- Prepare patients for interventional procedures, including angiography and biopsies, by inserting catheters into blood vessels or other body cavities.
- Assist physicians during procedures by holding retractors, suctioning blood, applying drapes, and removing specimens.
- Perform image analysis and report test results to physicians.
Required Qualifications:- Valid nursing license and relevant certifications.
- Experience in an interventional radiology or similar setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience with anesthesia administration and patient monitoring during procedures.
- Familiarity with imaging technologies and interventional techniques.
