Job Description:The ICU RN provides critical care for patients with life-threatening conditions or comorbidities that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. This role demands a highly skilled nurse who can think critically and act quickly in a challenging environment, ensuring optimal care for high-acuity patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing life-threatening conditions.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess and document patient conditions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergencies and intervene as necessary to stabilize patients.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
License/Certification:- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in computer charting systems, specifically EPIC.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
