POSITION SUMMARY: A Registered Professional Nurse delivers patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating patient teaching and ancillary nursing activities while upholding professional standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license; BLS Certification required within 2 weeks of hire; Nephrology nursing certification preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 2 years dialysis nursing experience or Certification in Nephrology Nursing required.
SKILLS: Action-oriented, collaborative, customer-focused, effective communicator, and strong decision-maker.
ENVIRONMENT: Clean, well-lit, smoke-free; subject to stress and varied hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to handle emergencies, prolonged standing/walking, and heavy physical effort.
