The Registered Nurse demonstrates professionalism, effective clinical practice, and a respectful approach toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care that aligns with unit standards and addresses the specific needs of the assigned patient population.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patient rights and effective communication appropriate to developmental age.
- Respond efficiently to emergencies and adapt to schedule changes as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the Patient Care Director or Manager to ensure optimal care delivery.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
- BLS certification is required within two weeks of hire.
- All other required certifications must be obtained within six months of hire and maintained thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
Certifications- BLS certification is required; other certifications may be specified based on department needs.
