Position Profile: Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, under the supervision of the Director of Withdrawal Management.
Compensation
$36 - $40 per hour for full time
Differentials
$5.00/hour overnights, $2.50/hour weekends, $7.50/hour weekend overnights, and $2/hour pier-diem
Registered Nurse specific job responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to clients undergoing detoxification from alcohol and drugs during the day shift (6:45 a.m. - 7:15 p.m.)
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosing and proper documentation
- Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and other physiological and psychological changes in clients, responding promptly and appropriately to any emergent situations
- Document client assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols, medication administration guidelines, and facility policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the day shift nursing staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication of client needs and status
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to addiction medicine and nursing practice
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid registered nurse license in the state of Maine
- CPR certification is required
- Experience with substance use and/or mental illness is a plus
