Job Description:
The iFlex RN is part of Intermountain's internal travel agency for assignments. This is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. This RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Our iFlex RNs are expected to float if not needed at assigned facility.

Our iFlex Internal Travel Agency is hiring for a Registered Nurse role at our Park City Hospital. Park City Hospital is a Level 4 Trauma center. Our facility is a full-service community hospital dedicated to serving the medical needs of the community with access to the most advanced medical knowledge and capabilities available.
Our operating room is equipped with 6 beds, accommodating both adult and pediatric cases.
Park City is known for its world-class skiing and snowboarding, with three major ski resorts within a short distance of each other. Additionally, Park City has numerous hiking and biking trails, golf courses, and other outdoor activities to enjoy year-round.
About the iFlex RN Role:
As an iFlex OR RN, you will be part of Intermountain's internal travel agency, responsible for assignments across our network. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to providing high-quality care in different locations. The iFlex RN focuses on delivering care in the operating room by ensuring a sterile environment, assisting in various surgical procedures, and working closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team. You will be responsible for ensuring the patient's safety and well-being during surgery. Flexibility is key, as you may be asked to float to other units within the facility if not needed in the OR.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff during procedures by maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, and monitoring the patient's condition during surgery.
• Ensure patient safety during surgery by adhering to infection control protocols, verifying the correct patient and surgical site, and following established safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs during surgery and provide the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Adhere to best practices in infection prevention and maintain high standards of sterilization and surgical cleanliness.
• Assist in managing any surgical complications that may arise during the procedure by responding promptly and appropriately. Typical Admissions:

• Labor & Deliver Compensation and Benefits:
• Competitive pay in line with local and national travel RN rates
• Pay rates are reviewed quarterly and adjusted based on market trends; each assignment will have a consistent pay rate
• For assignments more than 50 miles from the employee's home, a weekly living stipend will be provided
• Employees are responsible for securing their own housing during each travel assignment
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2 years of OR Experience
• Current RN License in state of practice, and Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Travel Requirements:
• Expected to fill shifts at Park City Hospital
• Our iFlex RNs are expected to float if not needed at assigned facility.
• All iFlex employees will be expected to travel to all geographies and able to work at Intermountain sites.

Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period.
