Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Suite Interventional Radiology (CVIR) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the CVIR setting.
This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, directing, supervising, and evaluating both direct and indirect patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer moderate sedation and complete patient admission assessments and recovery.
- Assist physicians with cardiac and radiology procedures requiring moderate/procedural sedation.
- Circulate or scrub in the procedure room during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization, implanted pacemaker/ICD procedures, and interventional radiology procedures in the CVIR, Radiology Department, or Operating Room.
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and coordinate nursing care according to clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
Required Qualifications- Current BLS Certification.
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Experience in administering moderate sedation.
- Previous experience in catheterization, hemodynamic monitoring, and interventional radiology procedures.
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced training or certifications related to cardiovascular and interventional radiology nursing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for a collaborative care environment.
Certifications- BLS Certification (Required).
- ACLS Certification (Required).
