Registered Nurse (RN) - Urology Outpatient Clinic
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday Day Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient urology clinic. The RN will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of urologic conditions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, including history-taking and vital sign monitoring with a focus on urologic concerns
- Assist urologists with in-office procedures such as cystoscopies, catheterizations, bladder instillations, and urodynamic testing
- Provide patient education on catheter care, continence management, medication usage, and pre/post-procedural instructions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including intravesical therapies and antibiotics
- Coordinate care by communicating with providers, scheduling follow-ups, and reviewing diagnostic results
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Adhere to infection control protocols and assist in preventing catheter-associated infections (CAUTIs)
- Support clinic operations including inventory management, supply ordering, and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of New York
- Minimum of 1-2 years of RN experience in outpatient, procedural, or specialty care settings
- Prior experience in urology, surgical services, or specialty clinics (Preferred)
- BLS certification (Required); ACLS Required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
