A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at a Brooklyn clinic.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 4:30pm (35 hours per week)
- Setting: Clinic
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow through on provisions of health care services for assigned programs
- Arrange medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals as needed
- Provide follow-up on medical problems for persons served
- Monitor required staff health records and provide tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
- Provide immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or Private Physician
- Participate in routine individual case reviews
- Prepare and maintain medical documentation on each person served
- Administer medications and supervise certified staff in administration
- Provide first aid and attend to emergency needs of persons served
- Transport persons served to appointments as necessary
- Visit persons served at home as requested by Director or designee
- Perform other related duties, as requested
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience in the delivery of Community-based Health Services to individuals with Developmental Disabilities
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR certification
- Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
