A nonprofit organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at a Brooklyn clinic.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9am to 4:30pm (35 hours per week)
  • Setting: Clinic

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and follow through on provisions of health care services for assigned programs
  • Arrange medical services for persons served and issues medical referrals as needed
  • Provide follow-up on medical problems for persons served
  • Monitor required staff health records and provide tests in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
  • Provide immediate first aid with referral to outside emergency services or Private Physician
  • Participate in routine individual case reviews
  • Prepare and maintain medical documentation on each person served
  • Administer medications and supervise certified staff in administration
  • Provide first aid and attend to emergency needs of persons served
  • Transport persons served to appointments as necessary
  • Visit persons served at home as requested by Director or designee
  • Perform other related duties, as requested

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Nursing experience in the delivery of Community-based Health Services to individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • CPR certification
  • Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
