The Work You Will Do The Registered Nurse (RN), under the direction of the immediate supervisor, uses skills of observation, assessment and nursing diagnosis deliver high quality nursing care with compassion, excellence and reliability to clients and their families in their own home or in facility. The RN ensures that their client's emotional, physical comfort and safety are of their top priority and in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice. RNs participate in ongoing internal and external continuing education activities and provides support and direction to Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses and paraprofessional staff members involved in direct client care visits. The successful candidate will work directly with members of both the English and French communities. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration with the provincial licensing body Valid CPR certification is obligatory At least two years of recent experience, preferably in a community setting; new grads may be considered for hire on an individual basis Have either a reliable mode of transportation (bus, train, etc) OR a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting A clear police criminal record and able to get a Vulnerable Sector Screening if required
