Registered Nurse

Overview:

As a Charge Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality surgical care, fostering teamwork, and optimizing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for the Operating Room nursing team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
Supervise and support perioperative nursing staff, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
Monitor and assess patient conditions before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to facilitate seamless intraoperative and post-operative transitions.
Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and sterile techniques to ensure patient safety.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding preoperative and postoperative care.
Utilize Epic systems for accurate documentation and patient record management.

Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher (BSN preferred).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Florida or Multistate/Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience:
Minimum of two years of Operating Room RN experience required.
Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
