JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a reliable and organized Registered Nurse to provide trauma-informed care in an integrated health care setting. This role will oversee and coordinate medication administration, complete required lab work, and provide support during medical emergencies as necessary. Our ideal Registered Nurse candidate will be comfortable facilitating care between healthcare providers and assisting clients navigate external systems if needed.

This position will also be responsible hiring, developing, and coaching direct reports. We're seeking a communicative and adaptable leader who is able to balance both clinical care and team management.

Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A nationally accredited Associate's Degree or BSN and completion of the NCLEX RN exam with passing score.

AND

  • Three years of experience in behavioral health, primary care, or a related clinical setting

License/Certification

  • RN licensure in the State of Alaska, or the ability to obtain.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • In addition, the incumbent must be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier.

Knowledge Of

  • Medication administration, side effects, and proper storage, including oral and intramuscular medications
  • Principles of trauma-informed care and integrated behavioral/physical health models
  • Infection control, safety protocols, and universal precautions
  • Medical terminology, diagnostic procedures, and clinical documentation standards
  • Community health resources, referral systems, and Medicaid processes
  • State and federal regulations governing nursing practice and patient confidentiality (eg, HIPAA)

Skills In

  • Administering medications and performing medical procedures, including injections and blood draws
  • Conducting patient screenings, obtaining vital signs, and recognizing urgent symptoms
  • Coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced clinical settings
  • Educating patients and caregivers in a culturally sensitive and accessible manner
  • Navigating electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Working with individuals with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions, including those with substance use disorders
  • Managing time effectively and prioritizing competing tasks under minimal supervision

  • Maintain professionalism and calm during emergencies or crisis situations
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, staff, and community partners

  • Adapt to changes in patient needs, clinical protocols, and organizational priorities
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and agency meetings
  • Learn and understand operational aspects of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs).
