Department/Unit Summary
Position Summary:
Reports to Director, Oncology, Infusion, Vein and Wound.
Primary Role is seeing patients and directing would care services.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Working with a high degree of autonomy the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan implement and evaluate the care of clients.
Provide consultation and assistance to staff and caregivers in the management of patient's skin integrity.
Provide direct patient care that is continuously evaluate, planned for, and revised as needed.
Assess, educate, and counsel patient and family.
Modify plan of care
Initiate referrals for medical or surgical intervention
Assist and educate staff to maintain current knowledge and competence in wound care.
May provide long-term follow up through telephone calls or clinic.
Develop/revise policies and guidelines for wound, ostomy and incontinence care.
Conduct product evaluations as needed.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license
Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school preferred
Additional requirements
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
One year of experience preferred
ASLS certification preferred
