Job DescriptionInova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is an award-winning, full-service children's hospital that offers the highest level of dedicated pediatric care in Northern Virginia. We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse. Prefer Pediatric step-down experience.
Come work with a team who cares for the patient and the team members. Our 22-bed Pediatric Specialty Care Unit (formerly known as PIMC unit) cares for intermediate level patients specializing in renal diagnosis and high flow. Nurses will also care for medical/surgical patients with all diagnoses requiring step-down care. Nurse ratios are 3:1 for IMC status patients and 4:1 for floor status patients.
Schedule: Full Time Nights (7:00pm - 7:00am) Must be available various shifts/times during orientation.

Pediatric IMC RN Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of one-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) required, PALS strongly preferred.
- Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
