Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg (Medical/Surgical) unit. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities: - Provide direct and comprehensive care to patients admitted to the Med/Surg unit, including those with medical and surgical diagnoses.
- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs, create individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions accordingly.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage patients' pain to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement a coordinated care plan.
- Monitor and interpret patients' conditions, recognizing any changes and taking appropriate actions, such as notifying physicians or initiating interventions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications: - Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Prior experience in a Med/Surg unit or a similar clinical.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures relevant to Med/Surg nursing.
