Registered Nurse, Allergy clinic at Boston Children's Hospital summary: The Registered Nurse at the Allergy clinic provides patient care for individuals with diverse allergy-related health concerns. Responsibilities include administering allergy shots, conducting medication allergy tests, and engaging in phone triage while collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers. The role requires a BSN degree and at least one year of nursing experience, preferably with a focus on pediatrics and allergies. This Staff Nurse will be responsible for : Working in busy Boston and satellite Allergy practices with a patient population with wide variety of health care needs including asthma, food allergies, environmental allergens, eczema, and immunodeficiency. Communicating with patients, families and health care providers. Administering allergy shots, testing for medication allergies, phone triage, working with patients with food challenges. 40 hours/week -M-F, (4) 10 hour shifts. Rotation to 1-2 satellites/week (2 Brookline Place and Waltham). Opportunity to work 1 Saturday morning/month (not mandatory but encouraged). To qualify, you must have: BSN degree. Prefer experience with injections. 1 year nursing experience required. Experience with pediatrics and allergy preferred.
