Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the healthcare continuum. The RN is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice. Reports to the unit Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Coordinate care for patients and their families across the healthcare continuum.

• Ensure accountability for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes.

• Follow the model of care established by the nursing department in line with agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice.

• Communicate effectively with various members of the healthcare team, patients, and families.

• Utilize strong organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 24 months of experience as a MED SURG TELE RN in a hospital setting.

• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.

• Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with healthcare team members, patients, and families.

• Strong organizational skills for prioritizing tasks and completing assignments efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN preferred.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse.

• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school with an Associate's or Bachelor of Science degree program; BSN preferred.

Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
