Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to students at Albany State University, promoting health and wellness within the campus community. The RN will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical services, support student health initiatives, and ensure a safe and healthy educational environment.

Responsibilities

Perform initial assessments and develop individualized care plans for students.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Provide health education and counseling to students on various health topics, including nutrition, mental health, and preventive care.

Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.

Collaborate with director of student health services, physician, mental health professionals, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.

Participate in outreach programs and wellness events to promote health awareness among students.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and triage as needed.

Stay current with best practices in nursing and student health services, participating in ongoing education and professional development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a clinical or student health setting is preferred.

Proposed Salary

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
