Job Description:Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

Key Responsibilities: - Assess physical, psychological, and social status of patients, including developmental and cognitive abilities
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to direct and coordinate care
- Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and clinical judgment
- Provide or delegate patient care in accordance with care plans, guidelines, and licensure
- Prepare patients for discharge needs, including education, referrals, and follow-up care
- Evaluate patient responses and adapt interventions accordingly
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards and document care accurately
Minimum Qualifications: - One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- ASN/ADN required; BSN must be obtained within four years of hire unless exempt
- Current RN license in the state of Colorado
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required upon hire or within 60 days
- Additional certifications (ACLS/NRP/PALS) as required by the unit
