About Us - Professional Development Professional Development Department empowers clinicians, staff and the healthcare community to perform at the highest level of one's profession by providing high quality educational opportunities Our clinical and non-clinical staff integrates adult education experiences through research and proven instructional methods of simulation, active learning and reflective thinking Each year, more than 2,000 Freeman employees are enrolled in our programs ranging through orientation, annual certifications and employee skill development Our department effectively manages more than 4,000 employee transcripts and engages a wide range of system employees in developing Individual Learning Plans Schedule: Full Time - 40hrs/week or Part Time -24hrs/week What You'll Do The Registered Nurse Educator is responsible for designing and delivering educational programs for both clinical and non-clinical staff including various National Certification Courses and other system-wide training initiatives. This role involves providing regular support in General Open Labs, conducting educational sessions within departments and on units, assisting with area school events and programs coordinated by Freeman, and assisting with Patient Care Orientation and UAP courses. Additionally, the RN Educator I assists in training employees on the Workday Learning Management System. The RN Educator I exemplifies and promotes the Freeman Health System's Five Star Promise of Compassion, Teamwork, Professionalism, Ownership and Communication. Requirements A minimum of 2 years nursing experience Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
