Position Purpose: The Registered Nurse is responsible for educating, assisting, and interacting with patients in an outpatient clinic setting with regards to health promotion and wellness. Key Functions and Responsibilities ED RN shall be responsible for patient triage and assessments, medication administration, performing and assisting with procedures; IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, discharges, external transfers, delegating to assistive personnel, electronic medical record documentation, patient transport, and emergency response procedures. The ED RN manages urgent/emergency care, mental health patients over the broad spectrum of disease and injury. He/she can intervene in urgent and emergent situations to preserve life and limbs as well as manage episodic exacerbations of chronic disease Qualifications Required Education and Licensing. Current unrestricted license. BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association approved) Required Knowledge and Experience. Minimum of three years recent experience High-level of reliability and dependability A valid driver's license is required. Working Conditions and Environment This position is on-site in a medical facility. Driving may be required. Physical Requirements The position requires repetitive motion, such as standing, walking, sitting and bending. Light lifting, up to 20 pounds, may be required.
